1970 Chevelle S/S-454-LS6 4 Speed

This is a real Chevelle SS LS 6. Hunter Green Coupe, Bench seat, with factory build sheet stating it came with LS6.    Muncie M22, 4:10:1 Posi Rear. The car was sold new at Briggs Chevrolet, South Amboy, New Jersey.    It shows that on the build sheet. Briggs Chevy sponsored the 1970 Chevy convertible LS6, Ray Allen owned and drove it, built by Truppi/Kling. It sold for over one million dollars at a Barrett Jackson Auction, it was a 1970 world champion. Briggs Chevrolet also sponsored Jungle Jim's cars and painted them. Briggs Chevy was also a Ferrari dealer in 1969 & 70.    The car was built by owner to road race and drag race about 12 years ago, but looked stock, to drive it on the street. The body is straight and solid with perfect floors and trunk.    The doors sound like new when closed. The paint is from Germany, "Standox Paint".    The code is 48 Hunter Green.    Owner left the stripes and vinyl top off. The interior is green with a bench seat, excellent condition.    Owner bought a new factory GM engine (LS7) years ago, rebuilt it and installed it.    454-LS7-460 HP.XCH suffix code, cast # 4015445. The transmission is a super T10 with 3:42:1 first gear w/a new Hurst Shifter. The car has a Hurst line lock.    MSD ignition and a box with chips. Lakewood Scatter Shield. New 11" clutch and 1disc,New 11" flywheel. Barry Grant Carburetor 850 CFM.    Edelbrock electric fuel pump. Super Comp Headers over the frame. Complete Pypes exhaust system w/cross over Bar and Turnouts 3" SS. The chassis is original, perfect, never hit. The suspension is all Hotchkiss front and rear w/adjustable rear Top arms. Have original suspension F & R.    Springs, Hotchkiss, lowered 1" F & R. Front and Rear sway bars H.D. Hotchkiss,    P/S box is GNX Buick w/12:1 ratio.    New aluminum radiator w/LS6 shroud. Water Pump, Hoses, Belts, Heater Core, runs at 190 degrees. Remote oil filter because of the Headers. The rear end is a fabricated piece from Moser, New 3:50:1 Posi 31 Spline from Moser. New brakes and calipers, hoses, lines, master cylinder and booster. New harmonic Balancer "SFI". Car comes with the original 12 bolt rear that came in the car 4:10:1 Posi, code CRW, Date 0-23, 0421B2, Cast # 3969278NF.    Car comes with original Muncie, not Hurst Shifter with the correct crossmember to bolt the shifter on. Original seat belts.    I do have the original 14" wheels.    The car now has 15" Vintique wheels w/BF Goodrich tires.    All the parts were new 12 years ago, never raced.    The cowl induction works.    Drives like a regular car if you stay in the 2 BBL part of the carb.    It handles perfect due to the Hotchkiss suspension.
